PowerSchool

PowerSchool is a web-based Student information system for K-12 schools. Founded in 1997, PowerSchool allows parents and students to see real-time attendance, homework, teacher-comments and grades. It was originally created by PowerSchool, Inc., PowerSchool and the company itself were acquired in March 2001 by Apple Computer (now known as Apple Inc.) in an effort to strengthen its education market offerings and was again acquired in May 2006 by Pearson School Companies, a subsidiary of Pearson PLC.
