[edit] Private File Sharing
Only people that you invite can see the shared files. You must send an invitation via email or another method.
[edit] Uses
- Filesharing: Documents, music, pictures, videos. (Please keep transfers legal)
- PC Syncronization: Synchronizes two or more computers. Whenever a file on one is changed, the other will be updated.
- Project Synchronization: Work on group projects. Automatically updates co-workers' computers when you make a change.
[edit] Criticism
- Powerfolder includes a network-usage monitor which displays upload and download activity. Activity sometimes appears very high, even when no actions are requested. In addition, Powerfolder connects to many sites which PeerGuardian lists as being linked to the RIAA and MPAA.
