Powelliphanta gilliesi subfusca is a rare terrestrial mollusc in the family Rhytididae, endemic to the South Island of New Zealand. It is found only in coastal scrub areas of West Nelson.
Shell base coloration is olive-brown to chocolate, deepening to greenish or reddish-brown towards the umbilicus, and without a clearly defined central zone. The base coloration distinguishes this subspecies from others.
Major diameter is up to 47 mm, and height up to 25 mm.
Powelliphanta gilliesi subfusca is classified by the New Zealand Department of Conservation as being in Gradual Decline.
