PostModern MTV

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PostModern MTV was a nightly program in the late 80s and very early 90s on MTV, originally hosted by Kevin Seal featuring such pre-grunge "alternative" artists as The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees, and Love and Rockets. The show was essentially a weeknight version of the Sunday night program 120 Minutes, with an emphasis on a more mainstream appeal.

After the departure of the original host, a reworked program entitled Alternative Nation was introduced, which followed a similar format and feel.
