Possum Trot is an unincorporated small town in Marshall County, Kentucky. Possum Trot is located on Highway 62 between Paducah and Calvert City in the Jackson Purchase Region of Western Kentucky.

Local legend has it that the town got its name for being a days trek for a trotting possum from nearby Paducah.
