POSE (Palm OS Emulator)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Descended from Copilot, the POSE emulator up until Palm OS 4.x is used for testing, writing and debugging Palm OS applications. This version of POSE represents Motorola 68000-class devices. Unlike Xcopilot, POSE will not boot uClinux.
All versions of POSE require a file containing the ROM image to boot. This can be obtained from Palm, or uploaded from a real Palm device.
POSE can not emulate Palm OS 5.x and up, because those versions have been rewritten to use an ARM processor. There are simulators available for Palm OS 5.x and up, where the Palm OS has been recompiled to run under x86.
