Posterior.png (794 × 490 pixel, file size: 3 KB, MIME type: image/png)
Posterior probability distribution of the downstroke match rate for a Bayesian analysis of the Howland Will Forgery Trial problem. The image was created to show that the analysis of the problem by Benjamin Pierce makes the assumption that the match rate is exactly equal to 1 in 5. This Bayesian posterior shows that there is some uncertainty around this figure. It is a plot of a Beta(252.5, 1008.5) distribution.
The image was created by myself, Blaise F Egan (blaise@blaisefegan.me.uk) using Mathematica 5 on 30th January 2005, then pasted into Paint Shop Pro 8 and saved as a PNG file.
