I vaguely remember an episode in which Porthos offended some alien dudes by pissing on their sacred tree. Archer refused to apologize up until the end, when he performed an elaborate dance of apology as required by the aliens' tradition. 141.217.41.206 13:56, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
It was mentioned that Archer got Porthos from a girlfriend, one of four; the others from the litter were named after the other three musketeers. Maybe in "A Night in Sickbay"? --Christopherlin 02:54, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
How about the fact that it was just a puppy at the first season, but growing as the series develops, mirroring the growth of the Enterprise and its crew. I think it's significant, but not sure how to phrase it into the article. --Menchi 17:31, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)
