Port Weller, Ontario

Port Weller, Ontario is a community located at a Latitude of 43°13' North and Longitude of 79°13' West in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located in the Niagara Region.
It is located 8 kilometres north of the centre of St. Catharines, Ontario, but is actually part of that city in much the same way as Port Dalhousie, at the north end of the Welland Canal.
A unique and little known attraction in Port Weller East is the 911 Memorial Park located on the Lake Ontario shoreline just north of Happy Rolphs Bird Sanctuary. The 911 Memorial Park is home to a variety of trees, each planted to commemorate a Canadian lost in the North and South Towers of the World Trade Centre. To access the Memorial Park, take Lakeshore Road to Read Road and follow Read Road north to the lake. Another feature quite extrodinary in the Port Weller area is Port Weller Public School. Producing such graduates as Daniel Ducroix, Nick Williams, Keith Manfredi, and Graeme McKenzie.
Port Weller is also claimed by many, "The best place to live in Canada."
