Port Loring, Ontario

Port Loring is a community in Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada.

Port Loring was named after the nearby community of Loring in 1922. Loring was named in 1884 by Member of Parliament William Edward O'Brien after his wife's maiden name. Historically, Port Loring was an important logging centre along the French River water system. Currently, the community is known for its tourism industry, which is focused primarily on camping, deer-hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.

Port Loring is in an unincorporated area and has no municipal-level government.
