Port Bolivar, Texas

Port Bolivar, Texas, is an unincorporated community located at the end of the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County, Texas, USA.

As of 1990, Port Bolivar had a population of 1,200. The town is home to the historic Bolivar Lighthouse, which once guided ships entering Galveston Bay.

Ferry service is provided by the Texas Department of Transportation between Port Bolivar and Galveston.

There is one school, Crenshaw Elementary and Middle School, in the area. It is operated by Galveston Independent School District, and Port Bolivar students attend Ball High School in Galveston for high school.

Galveston College serves Port Bolivar.
