Port-aux-Français

Port-aux-Français is the capital settlement of the French Kerguelen Islands in the far southern Indian Ocean on the Gulf of Morbihan. Created in 1944, it has about 60 winter inhabitants which can rise to more than 120 in the summer.

Wind speed of over 100 km / h are common, often reaching speeds of 150 km / h, at times up to 200 km / h.
