This movie is about a restless spirit (pontianak or vampire) seeking revenge. It spans two eras, with an unsolved murder in the first half and the quest for justice in the second. Based on Malay horror folklore, the movie tells the story of a murdered woman who returns from the dead to haunt her village. A film by Shuhaimi Baba.
The sequel of the movie was Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam 2.
