Pontiac Sunbird GT Turbo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pontiac Sunbird GT was available from the late 80s to the early-mid nineties.

The turbo version was a 1.8L from 1985-1987, and 2.0L available from 1988 to 1990. Somewhat rare was the Pontiac Sunbird Turbo GT convertible, as most turbo convertibles were sold with "SE" Trim. The Sunbird GT Turbo was the fastest stock J-Body ever made. From 1991 to 1993, the Sunbird GT dropped the turbo, and upgraded from the 2.0L Inline-4 to the 3.1L V6 engine from GM, also found at the time in the Chevrolet Cavalier Z24. This engine however, was still slower than the more fuel efficient 2.0L Turbo.
