Pontiac Custom S

The Pontiac Custom S was a single model year car that was marketed between the Pontiac LeMans and the Pontiac Tempest. Image:CustomS001.jpg The Custom S was only available for the 1969 model year. Available in 4 different trim packages, convertible, the hardtop coupe, the sports coupe and the 4 door sedan. The sports coupe can be differentiated from the hardtop coupe by the presence of a vent window in the door.

The Custom S came standard with an overhead cam (OHC) inline 6 cylinder, 175 horsepower (HP) 250 cubic inch motor. Also available was a 230 HP 265 lb/ft TQ OHC inline 6 cylinder with the "Sprint" package, a 265 HP overhead valve pushrod V-8 350 cubic inch motor and a 330 HP motor of the same size with higher compression and a 4 barrel carburetor.
