Ponta Leme Bedj

Ponta Leme Bedj is a point located in the southeast of the island of Sal and is one of the few geographical features that are only in the Capeverdean Crioulo. The point is situated about 1 km east of the town of Santa Maria and less than 1 km from the urban sprawl, it is also linked with a countryside road that is almost entirely unused.

The point are surrounded by desert sands with bushes and rarely features beach plants. The point features a lighthouse. It offers a panoramic view of Serra Negra which is approximately 4 km north.
