Pom Bears

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pom Bears are a variety of potato crisps whose mascot is modelled on teddy bears[1] - small, cuddly toys. Pom-Bear is manufactured by Intersnack Ltd in Corby, Northamptonshire in the UK. It is also manufactured in other European countries, notably Germany and Hungary, and is sold in many others.

These potato snacks saw their climb to fame among young children in the late 1990s, starting off by being sold in smaller local shops and then in some major supermarkets. The snacks gained appeal in health shops such as Holland & Barrett, because of their lack of wheat and gluten as well as not containing any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. In 2004, Intersnack began TV advertising campaigns for Pom-Bear,[2] returning them to supermarket shelves.
