Hello visitor on this page,
my main interest here in wikipedia lies within mathematics. I (mostly) enjoy reading and eventually editing articles in the math section of wikipedia (as I learned this can be a good way to refresh mathematical knowledge). I am a "learned" mathematician (in the moment working somewhere in the telco industry (in Germany)), with a bias towards pure mathematics (in particular algebraic and analytic number theory, abstract algebra and combinatorics and their interconnections). But I also have an interest in algorithms (for example in symbolic algebra, applied mathematics, cryptography).
If you want to drop me a message just go to my talk page.
On the name "Polyade": The name "Polyade" is chosen in honour of the logician Emil Post who once wrote a paper (round 1930) named "Polyadic groups" in which he studied and classified certain "multary associative structures" i.e. generalizations of the binary operation in a group to a multi-argument situation. Today there exist many different concepts of this kind in different areas of mathematics, for example the notion of an operad which emerged in algebraic topology and now has invaded also quantum field theory.
