[edit] "Politics and government"

Is there a reason the page pipes a link to say politics and government? What was previously known as "Politics and government of California", for example, is now Politics of California and Government of California. The two terms seem separate to me. Jibbajabba 22:25, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

This template is not yet used for California. In these series generally the main article is Politics of .., if there is also an article Government of ..., it should be included in the box. Electionworld = Wilfried (talk 05:43, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Width

Could we suggest/impose the width dimension for this box? I noticed that it varies from one usage to another and even changes on the fly (at least under Firefox after clicking on a link). I have added "width:180px". If it breaks something or you think it was inappropriate, please undo/criticize/let me know/improve. Thanks. ←Humus sapiens ну? 09:30, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

I reverted myself: that didn't fix the problem. Any clues? ←Humus sapiens ну? 09:39, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Just make the text in the template not wide. Which box is at the moment a problem? Electionworld (talk 12:30, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Or impose a restriction on the individual boxes. --Bob 22:32, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
What do you mean? Electionworld Talk? 22:52, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
I think that articles like Israel-Japan relations would look much better if the width was uniformal. Thanks. ←Humus sapiens ну? 23:00, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
I agree. I changed the width restrictions on those two boxes so that they are now uniform. --Bob 00:40, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
I think this is a good solution. Electionworld Talk? 06:44, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Politics of New Caledonia

Can somebody have a look what happened to the Politbox here, please? Thanks! Henning Blatt 15:21, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Show/hide

Can anybody do a trick where the template is hidden like those found at navigational templates? --Howard the Duck 07:33, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't think we'd want to use that trick with this template, frankly. I at least would be strongly against that, as they serve ultimately different purposes: the other templates are at the bottom of an article and can be safe space by being closed, this template can't do that. —Nightstallion (?) 00:20, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Because it takes a huge amount of space, leading to some articles having huge gaps, especially if its short. --Howard the Duck 06:08, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] font size

Could someone increase font size? Templates are hardly readable. --132.73.80.97 22:04, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

And it's broken btw, e.g. not valid. --132.73.80.97 22:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
