Poltergeist is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas. It has been open since 1999.

This coaster uses a LIM launching system instead of a traditional lift hill. Initially the ride had over the shoulder restraints, but these were replaced in 2002 with the more traditional individual ratcheting lap bars.

Poltergeist is one of four LIM Catapult coasters in the United States. It opened in the same year as Joker's Jinx at Six Flags America, three years after the world's first LIM-launched coaster, Flight of Fear, opened at Kings Island and Kings Dominion. In addition, another LIM Catapult coaster called Mad Cobra operated from 1998-2003 at Suzuka Circuit in Japan and is being moved to China. [1] As of of March 21st, 2007, the Poltergeist is closed for maintenance.
