Polo Park Racetrack

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 1925, Polo Park, a six furlong track, was built and raced under the charter of the Winnipeg Jockey Club and the charter of St. Vital Agricultural Society in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In the winter the racetrack constructed two large tobaggan slides, which operated in each direction.

The last races were held about 1954 and the following year Winnipeg did not have a racing meet but Assiniboia Downs opened up the year after and racing continued.
