Polná (IPA: [ˈpolna:]) is a town with around 5,000 inhabitants in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

Founded in the second half of the 12th century, it is first mentioned in 1242. Originally Polná was a forest collier settlement, and not far from it there was built a castle called Polná, originally Polmna. The town lies on the line between two historic Czech lands - Bohemia and Moravia. In the Middle Ages there were a path linking these lands, making Polná significantly more important in the past. Polná is one of the most important cultural centres in the Vysočina region. Many concerts (especially rock-concerts) are organized there. Before the World War II there was a Jewish city in Polná counting more than 700 people. Just a few Jewish survived the war. Nowadays, the regional Jewish museum is in Polná, in the synagoge, and an old Jewish cemetery is in Polná.
