Polly and Molly
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Polly and Molly were two genetically engineered sheep. Using special cloning techniques, devised by Keith Campbell, these sheep were engineered with a human gene for possible medical uses. The team announced success of cloning in July of 1997.
Two of the three sheep survived and so named Polly and Molly after the first cloned sheep Dolly by Roslin Institute in Scotland.
