Politikin Zabavnik ( Serbian: Политикин Забавник ) is one of the most popular magazines in Serbia. It comes out every Friday since 28 February 1939.It is called "The magazine for everyone between 7 - 107"

The magazine's first issue was published on 28 February 1939. It comes out every Friday since. but, during the World War II the magazine stopped printing... In 1952 it was returned. Now, it is one of the best and most read magazines in Serbia with more readers every week.

It is printed in serbian language with cyrillic characters, but when Serbia was part of Yugoslavia for about two decades two other identical editions were also printed: serbian with latinic characters and edition translated to slovenian language. At its peak in 1975 330.000 issues were printed.

  • You don't say ( Ма шта кажеш ) - Real funny stories that few people have ever heard about.
  • Life writes dramas ( Живот пише драме ) - Sad, Heartbreaking stories
  • Zabavnik's Logical riddle's ( Забавникове логичке загонетке ) - Logical & mathematical problems

Zabavnik has three comics in every issue. There are always Garfield and Hagar the Horrible plus the third comic which is changed from time to time.. This place was given to: Iznogoud, Sherlock Holmes, Tintin and others...

Sometimes, there are series of books coming out with the newspaper. Now, there is the series of encyclopedias published by Knjiga Komerc. They come with the paper every other Friday. The series concists of 26 books.

Literature Award Politikin Zabavnik was established in 1979. The award is given to the writer who wrote the best book for young people.
