Politeïa Community

The Politeïa Community is a network of international partner organizations around the globe that share common goals and structures.

The partners of this international student network do not only aim at contributing to good governance by encouraging the students to develop intercultural skills and an understanding of international relations, but also has the objective to build up a supranational network that contributes to making future decisions with the awareness of cross-border interests and values.

2000-2001: Foundation with the following founding members

- Mexico: Conferencia Mariano Otero

2001-2005: New Members
- Croatia: European Circle Croatia
- Finland: Iltakoulu
- Hungary: Hungarian Political Science Foundation, Youth Section
- Lithuania: Vilnius University Students Representation
- Romania: Asociatia Pro Democratia
- Russia: Russian Student Organisation
- Slovakia: Efpolit
The network is still in the course of expanding. The common features of the member organizations are that they are (i) politically and confessionally independent, (ii) interdisciplinary as well as (iii) that they have a high degree of national coverage and impact (no mere University clubs). (iv) Moreover, they are all engaged in project work with a socio-political notion that is based on cutting-edge knowledge. That is how they achieve at producing actionable advice to high-level policy-makers and so operate as student think tanks.

The main event of the network is the International Summer Academy (ISA) that are organised in turns once a year:

Besides that, the partner organisations organise common events and invite each other to their own events.
