A en:Polling station for the 2005 General Election in the UK. This polling station was situated inside a suburban library in the north of Cambridge.
Two tellers are seated, collecting the registration numbers for voters as they approach the polling station. Tellers are voluntary workers who assist the political parties they support by trying to track who has voted during the day. In the evening before the polls close, they then try to locate and motivate anyone who has expressed an interest in voting for their party but hasn't yet voted. They wear rosettes representing their respective parties - red for Labour and yellow for the Liberal Democrats.
