Category:Political parties in the United Kingdom

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United Kingdom traditionally has a two party dominant system, and all national governments since the 1920s have been led by one either the Labour Party or the Conservative Party, but the third largest party, the Liberal Democrats, currently has over 9% of the MPs. These three main parties operate across the whole United Kingdom or throughout Great Britain. Local political parties are important in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, but are much less significant in England. There are also many minor United Kingdom-wide parties.
