The Pokémon Anime follows the adventures of Ash Ketchum in a quest to become a Pokémon Master, although the specifics of a Master are unknown. Ash is joined by many companions, specificaly the gym leader Brock, in his quest. He also has an unusual starter pokémon, a pikachu.
