Pokinatcha (1994) |
Teenage Politics (1995) |
Pokinatcha is the debut album of the American punk rock band MxPx, released in 1994 (see 1994 in music). It is the only album to feature their former guitarist Andy Husted. The album is popular with fans because of its quick, catchy rhythms and fast punk sound.
The name "Pokinatcha" comes from a Snickers commercial, where the tagline is about hunger "poking at you". The word "poking" may be shortened to "pokin", and the words "at you" is sometimes simplified to the word "atcha", hence "pokinatcha".
