Podveyn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Podveyn (Πodveyn) is a constructed language created in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA in 1994 whose current form is a result of a merger of a half dozen proto-created-languages from 1994-1996. Its grammatical structure is based on Russian and English and borrowed words from Latin and Slavic languages, and languages stretching from Central America to the Eurasian steppe. Although a standardization campaign is underway, Podveyn remains an organic language.

Podveyn is a language, but it is also a process. The language process has five main components occurring simultaneously—namely the Codes, the Original Languages, Foreign Words, Variation, and Grammar. In order for Podveyn to work all of these five components must occur simultaneously and harmoniously. As a thought comes into mind, it must go through the journey of a constructed language. Each word must go through several mutations, infusions, exceptions, variations, and grammatical filters to arrive to a correct sentiment.
