Podgórze

Podgórze is a suburb of Kraków, Poland, situated on the right bank of the Vistula River.
Between the years 1784-1915 it was an independent township. Currently, it is currently a residential-light industrial suburb. Podgórze (founded in 1806 as Josephstadt) was granted town status by the German Emperor Joseph II in 1784.
