Doctor Who: Podshock

Doctor Who: Podshock is a weekly podcast about the British science fiction series Doctor Who.
The podcast is produced by the fan group Gallifreyan Embassy. The name "Podshock" is a reference to both podcasting and the Doctor Who story Earthshock. Podshock is, according to iTunes, the most popular Doctor Who podcast after the BBC commentaries for the series.
Since January 21, 2007, the podcast has been affiliated with the Doctor Who fan website Outpost Gallifrey.

The show has three hosts, two from the USA and one from the United Kingdom:

- James Naughton.
Ken and Louis are from the US, while James is from the UK.

As podshock is an international podcast, there are several correspondents from around the globe who regularly contribute to the show.

The show usually runs for 80-110 minutes, and discusses all things related to Doctor Who.
The show starts off with a sound clip from either the old or new Doctor Who seasons, and is then followed by a News section which wraps up the Doctor Who related news from the past week.
The Features segment usually follows the News section. This segment includes interviews and reviews that cover Doctor Who items such as the most recently aired television episode, the Big Finish audio series, Doctor Who Books, Doctor Who merchandise etc.
Time permitting, feedback from listeners is included. This feedback can take the form of an email or voice message left for the Podshock team which is then discussed by the three hosts.
The show is produced in two formats: The enhanced version, encoded in AAC and an MP3 version, both have the same audio content, however the enhanced version includes embedded chapter markers, images and hyperlinks.
