Pobox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pobox, Inc. is a company known in the internet community for having proposed the RFC for SPF, one of the more popular proposals for fixing SMTP. As an e-mail only provider, and primarily only of MX records and mail forwarding services, Pobox has a vested interest in reform. Nowadays, the company manages corporate e-mail too, and offers a spam filter, for which it is unclear whether it uses Bayesian or a challenge/response variation. Pobox supports IMAP, like AOL, but unlike most other Internet Service Providers.
