Pobjeda (Serbian Cyrillic: Пoбjeдa, English: Victory) (MNSE: NIPO) is a Montenegrin newspaper. Having been published for more than half a century, it is the oldest Montenegrin newspaper still in circulation. Until 1997 it was the only daily newspaper in Montenegro. It is also the only daily newspaper that is state-owned.
Since 1997, with its monopoly broken, Pobjeda's market share has fallen dramatically. The privately owned Vijesti and, to a lesser lesser extent, Dan took away a number of readers.[citation needed]
Today, "Pobjeda" is considered by some to be an inert pro-regime mouthpiece – a public service with no distinct features.
