PNS Shifa

PNS Shifa is a 600 bed hospital run by the Pakistan Navy located in Karachi. It was established in 1956. The hospital has a team of highly qualified medical doctors and surgeons, providing the best services to those who are engaged in the defence of this country.

The roles of PNS Shifa and other Pakistan Naval Hospitals are:

To deal with emergency round the clock (24 hrs)

To provide reception and treatment of the sick and wounded personnel of Pakistan armed forces and civilians armed forces when required.

To provide medical cover and hospitalization facilities as indoor and outdoor patients to certain non entitled categories under special Governments sanction.

To provide specialized outdoor/indoor to retired arm forces officers their families and retired arm forces personnel.

To provide indoor/indoor treatments to families of retied CPOs, sailors (through Bahria Foundation ).

Medical board for impalement and categorization.

Medical examination for civilians for enrolments in Pakistan Navy.
