Plunketts Creek Township is a township in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 771 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Williamsport, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area.

As the crow flies, Plunketts Creek Township is about 100 mi (160 km) northwest of Philadelphia and about 165 mi (265 km) east-northeast of Pittsburgh. It is bordered by Sullivan County to the northeast, Shrewsbury Township to the southeast, Mill Creek and Upper Fairfield Townships to the south, and Eldred, Gamble and Cascade Townships to the west.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 143.1 km² (55.2 mi²). 143.0 km² (55.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.04%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 771 people, 322 households, and 226 families residing in the township. The population density was 5.4/km² (14.0/mi²). There were 501 housing units at an average density of 3.5/km² (9.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.44% White, 0.52% African American, 0.91% Native American, and 0.13% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.26% of the population.
There were 322 households out of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.1% were married couples living together, 4.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% were non-families. 23.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.84.
In the township the population was spread out with 21.4% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.7 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $40,481, and the median income for a family was $43,542. Males had a median income of $31,125 versus $22,014 for females. The per capita income for the township was $20,563. About 4.7% of families and 6.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.6% of those under age 18 and 1.9% of those age 65 or over.
