Plunkett Donaghy is a former Tyrone Gaelic footballer. He was part of the Tyrone team that got to their first All Ireland Final in 1986, against Kerry, and won an All Star Award for his contributions. He later captained Tyrone to an Ulster Championship success in 1989.

His playing abilities, being part of the first (relatively) successful Tyrone team, as well as his instant recognisability, because of his 'shaggy' hair, put him among the greats of Tyrone football, although he wouldn't be held in as high esteem as his contemporaries such as Eugene McKenna, or Frank McGuigan.

Interview with Donaghy ahead of Tyrone's 2005 All Ireland Final meeting with Kerry, a rematch of the final he took part in.
