Plumbridge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Plumbridge is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is a picturesque crossroads village, standing on the banks of the Glenelly River. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 267 people. It lies within the Strabane District Council area. The local GAA club Glenelly GFC was established in 1981 and it is called Glenelly St. Joesph's. The club colours are light blue and navy. The club is central to the local community and provides great enjoyment for everyone, especially as recent years have seen an upturn in success for the club at underage level and this gives great hope for the future. August 2007 will see the closure of Plumbridge's high school due to falling numbers over the last few years.
