Plumas County Arts Commission

The Plumas County Arts Commission (Plumas Arts) is the official Plumas County, USA arts council.
Mission statement: "Plumas Arts cultivates a community in which the arts flourish."
Goals:
- To introduce, promote and support the arts.
- To cultivate a cultural awareness that enriches quality of life.
- To enhance & provide opportunities for artistic development & excellence.
- To present the arts as a vital economic and tourism industry resource.
The Plumas County Arts Commission runs under the California state arts council, the California Arts Council (CAC).

[edit] Lake Almanor Art Show
The first weekend in August, Plumas County's exhibitions of fine arts and crafts, is one of Northern California's most respected exhibitions of fine arts and crafts has been part of the local cultural scene since 1969. Plumas Arts has managed the show since 1983.

The second weekend in October, a community festival that hosts an impressive collection of microbreweries from throughout the Western US and music set amid the glorious colors of a High Sierra Fall.
