[edit] History
The Center traces back its history from the conceptualization of the PLM Children Center in March 1999. The Center for University Extension Services and representatives of various units, considering the Executive Order No. 340 signed by the former President Fidel V. Ramos on February 05, 1997, deliberated the need for the opening of the said PLM Children Center.
On August 04, 2000, the program was launched as the PLM Mabuhay Children Center by Dr. Benjamin G. Tayabas in his return as the PLM President.
In the summer of 2001, an integrated curriculum was made and Prof. Esperanza Bautista, who was then the Chairman of the former Graduate School of Art & Sciences, Education and Nursing, headed the Curriculum Development Committee and changed the name of the PLM Mabuhay Children Center into its present name.
[edit] Curriculum
The curriculum of the Center provides carefully planned stimulating environment and developmentally appropriate activities for children three to five years of age. It includes reading, writing, mathematics, social sciences, music, basic concepts and vocabulary, computer science, and physical education.
