Plesictis is an extinct genus of mammal.

Related to raccoons and their kind, Plesictis was a small, 75 cm (2 ft 6 in) long creature with large eyes and a very long tail. It is presumed to have been nocturnal and arboreal. Judging from its teeth, it was an omnivore. Plesictis is presumed to be the ancestor of the cacomistle.
