[edit] Boris and Arkady Strugatsky
I had removed the last part of your sentence. I'd read the Monday Begins on Saturday in Czech so translations are possible. Whether this translation captured essence of the novel is question, of course. I had read other translations too (Troika). Pavel Vozenilek 11:29, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I assumed that paragraph was talking about English specifically. Of course it's possible to translate into other Slavic languages, the way Lem is much easier to translate into Russian than English.
[edit] Grammatical gender and Kivunjo
Your edit summary at Grammatical gender ('attempting to bluify the "Kivunjo" link') made me smile. It didn't work out, as I'm sure you noticed, but I just created a stub to make it blue after all: Kivunjo language. Kind regards, — mark ✎ 00:41, 8 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Interesting
Hey, a fellow Bay Arean! (Wait not Aryan, even though that's how it sounds :) ). So, off to Caltech, eh? That's exciting, I'll be going to college next year, too (Reed College) and I even know someone going to Caltech, too. Best of luck! --Dmcdevit 06:37, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
- What a small, small world... Wow. Well, congratulations on Mathcamp. And I can see you've been making good edits, so keep it up! --Dmcdevit 02:24, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Chersonesos
Somebody has moved this archaeological site with its Greek name of long standing, recognizable to every educated eye, to its Ukrainian name Khersones— unknown in English. How can we get it back with its well-recognized English title? --Wetman 23:36, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Q
Hi! You've done cleanup of Tatar language and have create a table of IPA consonates. But the sound for q dissapered! I'm not a lingust and I don't know what character of IPA is corresponding to this letter. Could you help me? --Untifler 14:50, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Request for edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.
