Playing It Safe is the 3rd episode in season 1 in the Barney & Friends television show which airs on the Public Broadcasting Service. The episode features Bob West as the voice of Barney, West was featured on the show from 1992 - 2001.

With Barney's special bag and some imagination, the group creates some make believe cars and learns about safety. The kids become members of Barney's Safety Patrol and sing songs about keeping your seat belts buckled, paying attention to traffic lights, and crossing the street safely. The children also learn such safety tips as picking up toys after finishing with them and not talking to strangers.
