Play It Again, Cro...Not!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Play It Again, Cro...Not! was an episode of Cro about music.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Mike is playing his electric guitar VERY loudly and Phil tells him that long ago, "there wasn't any plug to pull."

Cro was hoping to get into Phil's music concert, but Steamer won't let him borrow his whistle. During a dire wolf attack in the middle of this, Murray says that he always wanted a whistle, even before he was born even! Steamer's whistle snaps in half, during the assault. As a result, it sounds horrible. But it is fixed and Steamer is happy, but Cro's music career is no more before it even happened! But Phil tells Cro that the violin is still available! Cro agrees. Cro asks the Neandies to join up, too. Cro asks Esmeralda, Earle and Mojo, and Ivana what a violin looks like. Phil finally shows Cro.

The dire wolves see the drawing too and decide to steal mammoths for their own reasons. The dire wolves convince Cro to make a bigger violin. During tryouts, Cro and the wolves bring the violin...and some wolves steal Steamer. The dire wolves eventually get caught and Phil asks Cro to join the band. The band than plays "Feelings" with a dire wolf organ.

As Phil still has Mike's plug, the doorbell rings. Dr. C gets it and it's an unseen Elvis Presley. He's looking for someone to sing with. Phil offers and sings "Feelings" again and Elvis agrees only if Phil never sings that song again.

[edit] Trivia

  • It is discovered that the Neanderthals were once in a band.
  • We never get to hear Mojo's triangle solo.
  • The Woollyville Philharmonic Marching Band:
    • Woodwind:
      • Steamer on whistle.
      • Esmeralda on saxophone.
      • Gogg on armpit (Phil calls it a primitive bagpipe).
    • Brass:
      • Ivana on "tri-bluma-tuba" (as she calls it).
    • Percussion:
      • Earle on tambourine.
      • Mojo on triangle.
      • Cro on dire wolf orchestra (presumably like a xylaphone). 1
      • Nandy on drums.
    • Strings:
      • Cro on violin. 1
    • Vocals:
      • Ogg singing.

1 Cro was to play the violin, however the dire wolves built a larger one for Cro (saying the original was too small) in order to catch Steamer, but they got caught and while retreating, they broke the big violin, and Phil gave Cro a dire wolf orchestra so he could play in the band, too.
