Play-N-Skillz

Play-N-Skillz is a rap duo consisting of two brothers, Juan "Play" Salinas and Oscar "Skillz" Salinas; hailing from the Dallas, Texas area, particularly Irving, Texas.

They are known best for working with Swishahouse artists, as well as Lil' Flip, 50 Cent, Three Six Mafia, Blast, Chamillionaire, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Adina Howard, Phar East, Bun B of UGK, Young Noble, Petey Pablo, Lil Jon, Mannie Fresh, Young Chris, Paul Wall, Pitbull, Big Tuck, Frankie J, Akon, Gemini, and others. Play-N-Skillz grew up in a South American family, living in a black neighborhood in Irving, Texas. The most successful single produced by them is Ridin' by Chamillionaire.

They started DJing and gaining a name at Dallas clubs. After creating a makeshift recording studio in their mother's cramped two-bedroom apartment, Play ditched his college plans and rented out a space with his brother with plans to build a professional studio and soon, their company, Prime Time Productions was born. PTP was originated during their highschool years; this was a failed attempt at creating a rap group. They released 3 albums before of getting their major deal with Universal Records. "From Texas To Da World Vol.I", "The Best of Lil Flip and Play N Skillz", and "The Album Before the Album".

They also produced the first track in Chamillionaire's "Mixtape Messiah 2": Guess Whos Back.

They recently finished remixing Hilary Duff's With Love which also featured a guest apperance by Slim Thug. Currently they have been working with fellow Dallas artists Big tuck and Tum-tum from DSR based in Dallas. They have also stated that they are working with Slim Thug on his next cd.


R&B-crooner Lloyd has done his own version to their hit single "Freaks" titled "One for Me" which will appear on his new album Street Love.

It is also rumored that R&B-diva Mariah Carey will write her own version to the hit "Freaks", and call-upon Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to be featured on it also for her upcoming album due Fall of 2007.
