Plato, Missouri is an unincorporated community in northwestern Texas County, Missouri. It is located about twenty miles northwest of Houston and ten miles south of Fort Leonard Wood on Route 32. The community was founded in 1874 and is named after the ancient Greek philosopher Plato.
