Platinum on the Bay will be a skyscraper in Miami, Florida. It was approved by the City of Miami and the Federal Aviation Administration in 2005, and the original developer sold the land and design in the summer of 2006. Construction is expected to commence sometime in 2007. The building site is located in northern Midtown Miami, near the Wynwood district of Miami. It is a bayfront property which is located on Northeast 7th Avenue between 29th and 30th Streets. When completed, the tower will be 590 feet (180 m) tall, and have 56 floors. Floors 1-6 will be used for retail, while floors 7-20 will be used for commercial office space. Floors 21-56 will contain residential units.
