Platamon

Platamon (Greek: Πλαταμώνας), also spelled as Platamonas, is a town and sea-side resort in south Pieria prefecture, Central Macedonia, Greece. Platamon has a population of about 1,500 permanent inhabitants.
Platamon is regarded as one of the most significant tourist destinations in Thessaly. Its most famous landmark is the Castle of Platamon. The town is home to numerous restaurants, cafeterias, hotels and camping resorts while it is in close distance to the cities of Larisa and Katerini as well as from Mount Olympus.
