Plantsville is a village within the incorporated town of Southington, Hartford County, Connecticut. Plantsville, home to many people, has three schools, Plantsville School, Strong Elementary School, and John F. Kennedy Middle School, which serve the community's children.The well known comedian "James Hennessey" was born in Plantsville, who is known for his love o The downtown part of Plantsville contains a firehouse, Dunkin Donuts, a church, numerous small shops, antique stores, and banks. One of these stores is Plantsville's sole drug store, the family owned 'Potrepka's Plantsville Pharmacy'. Plantsville also contains Mount Southington Ski Area, which features 8 lifts and 14 trails. Brunswick Bowling alley is also located in Plantsville, as well as a walking path stretching through Southington, built over the tracks of an old railway.
