Plantation Middle School

Plantation Middle School is a middle school located in Plantation, Broward County, Florida at 6600 West Sunrise Boulevard. Construction of the school began in 1968 and the school was officially opened in 1970. The current principal is Mr. David M. Olafson. The current vice principals are Ms. Traci Lenfest(6th grade), Mr. Thomas Fegers (7th grade), and Dr. Kwan Drake (8th grade). The school colors are red and blue. The school mascot is the patriot. The current enrollment is 1,711. The school hours are 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Plantation Middle also goes by the abbreviation PLMS.

The athletic teams known as the "Patriots" are headed by Mr. Cedrick C. Maddox. Plantation Middle has a Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Track, Volleyball, and Flag Football team. In Spring 2005 the Flag Football Team were the Regional Champions.
